This Privacy Policy explains how Clooshi Ltd ("Clooshi", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and platform. We are the data controller for the personal data we process about you. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Provider data: for providers, this includes DBS certificate details, references, qualifications, photos, and right-to-work documentation.
  • Booking and transaction data: services booked, dates, prices, messages exchanged, and payment records.
  • Technical data: IP address, device information, browser type, and usage data collected via cookies and similar technologies.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team and any feedback or reviews you submit.

2. How we use your data

We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of contract: to provide the Clooshi platform, process bookings, facilitate payments, and enable communication between families and providers.
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, improve, and secure our platform, prevent fraud, and run analytics.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and safeguarding requirements, including DBS verification.
  • Consent: to send marketing communications where required, and to set non-essential cookies.

3. Who we share data with

  • Other users of the platform, where necessary to deliver a booking (e.g. a provider sees a family's address before attending a job).
  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to securely process transactions.
  • DBS-checking partners to verify provider credentials.
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers operating under data processing agreements.
  • Law enforcement and regulators where we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above. Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 6 years after closure to comply with legal and tax obligations. Booking and transaction records are retained for 6 years. Marketing data is retained until you withdraw consent.

5. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses.
